Linda T. Romano currently lives in Northern California with her husband and has two adult children. Much of her free time is spent biking and enjoying the outdoors. She received her Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Illinois and, after a thirty-year career in engineering, which included publications in scientific journals and technical patents, earned an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction. Prior to her MFA, while she attended the UCR Palm Desert Writing Program, some of her book reviews appeared in The Coachella Review. She is presently a reader for VCFA’s literary journal Hunger Mountain. Dedicated to her mother and the aunt who raised her, Blue Lights at Midnight is Linda’s first memoir.
